(104) Connection error windows xp

Hello,

Has anyone happen to see an error like this before..the machine the error came from is a XP Pro service pact 3..pretty much at whit's end with it..also tryed the sight form three different machine's in the building no error's..thanks for your help with this issue...

Hi Brian,

What is between your XP computer and the Internet Modem? Are you running another computer or a router between your XP computer and the Internet Modem?

This error was around years ago, especially when people were running Linux boxes with IPCop software as a cheap firewall, but it could also be caused by a Linux based router/firewall.

You mention 3 other computers run without this error. You could try restarting your internet modem and/or router, as well as look to see if your troubled PC is running Antivirus / firewall software that differs from the other computers.

Those are my initial thoughts anyway.
