help please????...i have a 2gb usb drive which has the message "needs formatting"......so far i have tried some of the advice /info provided by the forum...
start menu - search - run - open cmd - type chkdskG:/r = cant find anything!
tried two recovery programmes - easeus and remo recovery - these both cannot 'find' the usb either
i also tried right click on usb g drive - in properties it shows no space used/empty - (this doesnt seem promising!).. in tools i have option to check drive for errors - when i select this is says the usb needs formatting first!
i am not very i.t/technically minded..so now i am at a loss....can anyone help please?
all i know is that when i plug it it the computer finds it no problem (windows 7)
1. Do not format the USB drive before the recovery process.
2. Download an unformatted USB drive recovery freeware to retrieve your data from http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/deleted-files-rec... It is a freeware that has successfully recovered my inaccessible data from a pen drive. It is really worth trying.
3. Restart this freeware more times to harvest all your data back.
4. Back up you data regularly on a separate drive in the future.
