5770 will not fit in e521. Which motherboard do I need?

I recently purchased a 700w psu and an ATI 5770 to go into my Dell e521 with the micro BTX motherboard. The back of the card would not clear the heatsink for the cpu. It seems that they are placed too close together. If I swap for a micro ATX motherboard, would this solve the problem, or am I looking at a whole new case and motherboard?

What PSU do you have? A single slot video card would work? What about the CPU heatsink, it clears that? Your case allows dual slot cards (brackets)? It seems other people didn't have issues with the PSU but with the HSF and case:

You can't put an ATX motherboard in a BTX case.

Which may well be one of the reasons brand name mfgs chose to use them

Sorry, I meant that the gpu would not clear the cpu heatsink. I even tried taking the cpu heatsink out, but the slots were still in the way.

or I'm missing something, didn't you say you removed the heatsink and still no go.?

Cool, I'll go ahead and pick out a new motherboard and case tonight. I will just transfer all the other stuff from the Dell to the new computer. What do you guys recommend for the cheapest way on the motherboard and case?
I will get a new cpu for sure as well.
