Bottleneck & raid question

Ok hey I am buying parts for the Computer I am looking to build But for the time being I want to use the Graphics card I bought so here are my Specs

5400 RPM 640 GB Harddrive (Not in raid)
5400 RPM 1TB Green drive

AMD phenom quad core 9650
GTX 460 Cyclone
800 watt PSU

Now here are my questions

I want to run raid 0 with my 2 hdd to increase the speed but I want to know if it will erase the stuff I have saved on those Harddrives.

Also Do I have a bottleneck if I do how big is that?

when creating a RAID array it formats the hard drives first so yea you do lose your data. but just back it up somewhere. you should back it up anyway

I cant i only got a 2 200gb hard drives i could back it up too. But will that CPU BE a bottleneck
