I am having a similar boot problem as was addressed in this thread: Tom's Hardware > Forum > Systems > Homebuilt > [Solved] Odd boot problem or not?
When I push the start button the computer starts up as normal, lights come on, fans power up but after 8-10 seconds it shuts down. Then it immediately starts up again and boots normally. I saw the answer to the above post but it mentioned Gigabyte mobos not EVGA ones. Should I be worried or not? I checked my reset switch, and they are all in the right place
I have the EVGA FTW3 (X58 chipset) and my computer does that as well, but only if it has been disconnected from power (PSU manually shut off, not just shut down) and the capacitors fully discharge. I haven't noticed an issues because of it. I wonder if it is related to power and the capacitors on the motherboard not being charged up quickly enough.
