Good HDD Enclosure

No enclosure can read a drive's SMART data. Reading such data is a function of drive diagnostic software, not the enclosure it's in. So you can scrub that requirement off your list of must have features because that feature doesn't exist.

I know about the software....example being hdtune or victoria or hdsentinel...

What i mean is that to read SMART attribute requires some hardware (USB-ATA bridge chip if i'm not mistaken)

Some enclosure support it (ex wd my passport usb 3.0) some don't (ex vantec nextstar dual hdd dock usb 2.0 can't read SMART attribute with any program)
