Hey guys,

i know it's very stupid, but i have accidentally deleted/removed from control panel the audio hardware on a lap top, and now there's no sound at all. Iam wondering if i can re-download it or do i have to purchase a new one..? &Hopefully that won't cost any $$, because it was actually my dad's laptop that i ruined   i don't want to make him spend more money, he's probably gonging to "kill" me!!!!!!!! :pt1cable:

You don't need to buy anything, just refresh that page and it should find "new hardware". Follow the wizard from there and re-install the drivers.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

a restart of the laptop will fix the issue, it'll detect the deleted soundcard(hardware) and it'll ask you to install the drivers(either via harddrive or from net) and then follow the steps, your good :)
