My 10 year old computer is on its last breath..it is dying, slowly but surely..
So, a new computer is in order.

I have been contemplating building one myself, but i found this set up and it seems to cover most of what i want.

Here's the specs:
Athlon 2 X4 640 cpu
Asus m4 a88td-v evo motherboard
2Gb of 1333Mhz ram
500Gb hard disk
500w PSU (No name brand)
19" monitor

All in all around 600us$

As you most likely have noticed, there's no video card...not sure if I should get one or not?
It's meant for the internet, mail and stuff like that..

Also, i haven't selected an OS yet..living in Japan, by default if you choose to get an OS installed, it's the Japanese version.
You can get an English Version over here but it's 300us$ :ouch:

So, looking at the specs, what do you pros think?
Is there something that should be changed or upgraded?

Any advise is greatly appreciated

should be ok, except the no-name brand PSU. for your build you won't need 500W, so see if you can get the Sea Sonic 300 or 350W supply. It's a high quality supply

If its just for browsing, the onboard video will be just fine. You might even do better with a Linux distro.
you might want to up to 4 gb, but its not NEEDED for just web browsing and light office work
