Hello,
I recently bought a Samsung model NP305E5A-A03US laptop and didn't realize that the DVDRW drive was not Lightscribe capable.
I have searched the Internet and can't find out if there is a standard interface to swap out for a Lightscribe drive. The device manager recognizes the current writer as a "Slimtype DVD A DSHA5SH sata Cdrom Device".
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know that I could use an external burner, but that seems to defeat the purpose of having a laptop when tons of periperals are hanging off of it <g>.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Any slim type, internal optical drive with a SATA interface should fit in place of the existing one. The push-in connection interface is standardised, just as SATA is standardised on a PC. All you need to make sure of is that it's a slim type.
