Core 2 quad q9550 core i5-760

Hello,
can someone tell me why q9550 still more expensive than i5-760?? does not seem to make sense...

It is more expensive because they have stopped making it (or limited quantities), so supply and demand keeps the price at the current price point.

^This is true, enevitably outdated products get more expensive before they get cheaper.

Look at the prices of some of the S939's..

Yeah... they'll get cheaper about a generation or two further down the road.

When they consider them to be on-class to what we consider Pentium 4s.
