Windows 7 boots up slow (Palit nvidia GTX 460)

After installing drivers for the GTX 460 from nvidia's site Windows 7 takes roughly 30 mins to boot. However it runs completely fine on windows vista. I have formatted and re installed and am pretty sure it is just a problem with Windows 7 its self and not a hardware issue. Any suggestions?

Are you dual booting? And if so have you checked to see how much RAM W7 "thinks" it has?

Im just running windows 7 by its self and it is registering the full 8gb that i have

try disconnecting all USB peripherals. My PC stopped booting and one day i disconnected everything and booted up really really fast...
