What technologies would you give an award to for 2010 if you could?
My personally choice for "technology of the year award" goes to Intel, for the combination of
■ "Intel® Trusted Execution Technology" (aka: Intel® TXT) and
■ "AES New Instructions" (aka: AES-NI).
PS: I'm aware Via PadLock may have led to AES-NI, just their overall performance isn't that fantastic and Intel can do sub 45 watt computers now which is Via's niché.
I'd like to hear people who would award companies other than Intel, and gain some more insight & perspective on the TomsHardware community as a whole.
Just let your thoughts roll... It is the Holiday Season after all.
(eg: Feel free to retrospectively award AMD for x64 extensions if you feel it has finally got enough market share).
