Hey :)  some sites say it is and some don't mention am3 so would it work with my Phenom II 955? Also would it fit in my Antec 300 case?
Also whats the difference between the Zalman CNPS9700 NT and Zalman CNPS9900 NT (both green LED)? The 9900 is 6 dollars more so which should i get?

If you have any other suggestions please get them from and keep it as low as possible, $65 max.

By the way again :) im getting this because the stock cooler sounded like a vacuum

if it says that its compatible with AM2, AM2+ etc it is compatible with AM3. tis all the same anyways, just difference in the pins on the CPU, which doesn;t affect cooler.

Antec 300 is a pretty big case, and that cooler should fit just fine.

9900 is probably just a newer revision, get whichever you want. CHoose a colour that you like.

BA plz.

Hope this helps,

Hi, yes it will fit fine on your cpu and in your case.

I have the 9500 version, the 9700 version has a larger fan and the 9900 has the split heatsink design that according to Zalman has better cooling power.

They are all good, quiet coolers but for $6 I'd get the newer 9900.

But for $69 I would say this would be my overall choice.

How about the OCZ Vendetta 2? Is it any good since the CM Hyper 212 is out of stock :/

Yes that seems like a good choice although not the quietest.
The Zalman will be quieter and is only $55.
