Hello, will my computer handle a GTX 460 ? AMD 64 X2 dual processor 6000 2 CPUs ~3.0 GHz

I wouldn't put more than an HD5770 in that.

im getting a 550 w BFG GS psu would you really not recomend getting a 460 i wasl also maybe considering the 250 512 mb but the 460 i was looking at is only the 768 mb

It doesn't matter your PSU; your processor is NOT powerful enough, and a GTX460 will have a 1-2FPS lead over an HD5770.

if you have your heart set on a 460 then you could get it, but your processor would be seriously bottlenecking the card

alright well im not sure what the term bottlenecking is but the other reason for the gtx was that my comp only has one pci-e slot open as i already ripped out my tv tunner just to open slots. I havnt checked the specs on the 5770 but i know i need a small 1 pci-e slot card. Also if I buy the GTX 460 for 215$ cad i get the psu with it for 44$ instead of paying full price.
