Acer aspire x1700 mother board

i just bought my pc last june 2009 and today july 2011,the compute don't start and the fan is very noisy..the technician said i need to replace the motherboard,or better yet buy another cpu.its frustrating, i thought acer is a highly rated company for their products.

Acer is like most companies, they make some good stuff and they make some utter rubbish.

It sounds very fishy that he says you need a new motherboard or better yet a new cpu.

If you ought a new CPU how that would help if the motherboard was faulty iI have no idea, Cause it would not.

I would advise speaking to them again and getting an exact fault from them before you go buying parts.
