Using an external hdd for an xbox and pc?

I currently have my external hdd hooked up to my xbox to hold all of my games. I would also like to hook it up to my pc. Is there a splitter or something i can buy to split usb b type cable that is hooked to my external?
In other forums people suggest networking the drive. In my case that is not possible because I am not using two pcs, I am using a pc and an xbox 360.
