Hello,
I am having problems playing games and was wondering if anyone on here could tell me my problem. It seems every game i buy and install it will come to the main screen and the arrow that my mouse pad controls on the screen will not move . I have the ati 3200 hd integrated video card this one particuliar game says it recommends a nividia geforce 8800 or radeon x1000 . Is my card not good enough to handle this game?

Your GPU exceeds these requirements. You may just need to update your drivers. What operating system are you using? You can go to ati.com and download the most current version (10.7) for your OS. That is likely to solve your problem. Good luck!!!

BTW, is this a desktop or notebook system?

what? no a 3200 IGP does NOT surpass a 8800 (which is what the game recommends)

yes, the GPU you have is meant for video playback, not gaming. you need a dedicated video card, especially if you are playing games that require an 8800.

For games that recommend a 8800 series, a 3200 IGP will not be able to run them properly.It is much weaker than a 8800 series card.

The games that you are bringing are above your igp i.e hd 3200's reach...but still don't think it is a bad igp...it is really good igp and has it's own limitations.....it is really good for hd playbacks and still you can most of the games even some of the latest on low resolution and low setting but not every game.....
it will be good if you go for at-least an 50$ budget card like hd 4650....it can handle every game...

The 3200 far surpasses a x1000 (that can't be the right number), so it does meet the minimum requirements as stated by the original posting. What is the game in question? Did you update your drivers?

@COLGeek
did you look at the other recommended card other than ati...it's nvidia 8800 that itself tells the story...he has written wrong the ati card number.....

Yep, saw that. I agree that there is a huge difference between an Nvidia 8800 and (potentially) an ATI X1???. The question is what end of the X1??? model line. A X1300 vs. a X1950 makes a huge difference. The IGP3200 will outperform, I believe, the X1300 through X1600 series. Not sure how it would stack up against the X1950, but it depends on the game and the feature set it requires. Thus the question..."what game?".

hey ge force 6600 or radeon 9800 are really old cards ,so the game graphic demand is not much...also using the same chipset or igp i.e hd 3200 people have played more graphically intense games like cod 4, assassin's creed etc.....so you can handle this game if not on max, mid low will be sure...

Your 3200 can more than handle what a 6600 or 9800 can. Did you update your drivers? Also as that is an older game, are you playing the game in compatibility mode? Last are you using 32 or 64 bit Win7?
