Dead MotherBoard?

Hello,im connor and i need help with something,
when i plug my screen inot my mother board graphics card it works fine but when i plug my screen into my graphics card, its like i havent turned my screen what should i do?

Normally the computer auto-detects if you have a graphics card installed and defaults to the add on card. You should check your BIOS settings to see the settings for the graphics card normally the options are motherboard, AGP (or PCI) or auto.

is this a new graphics card that you just installed? or has it been installed for awhile and suddenly stopped working?
