Im looking for an upgrade to my current PCI ONLY mobo -.-

its a a819n HP Presario STOCK mobo http://www.ehow.com/list_7423593_specs-hp-pavilion-a819n.html

i am on a very tight budget (isnt everyone these days?) but i found one that is just good enogh for me

The only reason i think this one is a pLus is because of the PCI-E slots which i really need (ive got the best PCI video card and it still sucks)

http://www.ebay.com/ctg/Intel-D915GEV-BOXD915GEV-Motherboard-/74079086#pbe-rvws

Please review the information on Both mobos and tell me if its a good motherboard and if its much of an upgrade from my current(i mean every aspect of it )

Thanks for reading and help.

Strange... I can see that the links are different, but if you click on or mouse over, both links reference the A819N specs. Maybe it's just me...

Anyway, the Inted D915GEV is indeed better. Here is a copy of the mobo manual:
http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15195/eng/D915GEV_TechProdSpec.pdf

The Intel board supports DDR2 - 400 & 533, versus the the DDR support to your current mobo. DDR2 has twice the data rate of DDR, so this is a benefit.

Both mobos support P4 LGA 775, so your current CPU will work in the Intel board.

And of course, let's not forget that the Intel board supports PCI-E. This is the most important benefit to the upgrade.
