I have an ASUS motherboard with LGA775 socket. I bought a new CPU to upgrade but during CPU change I noticed some bent pins/lines on the CPU seat. Now the board doesn't come on with either chips. What could be the problem?

Ok firstly does your board support the new CPU, ie: is it 65nm or 45nm? Most Asus boards in the P5 series should support both depending on how recent the BIOS version,

The bent pins are probably the cause though, You will have to be extremely patient to attempt straightening them and will take a steady hand, Have had to do this mainly with boards purchased from ebay lol, I use a very small bladed screwdriver and magnified lens but make sure you are well grounded from Static etc, Hope this helps, Best of luck.
