Upgrading current system

I just got a bonus at work so I think I'm going to upgrade some parts on my system.
Let me know what you think of my choices for hardware.

1. Motherboard
EVGA 131-GT-E767-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58

2. Processor
Intel Core i7-875K Lynnfield (Plan to overclock, possibly waterblock)

3. Memory
G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model #: F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ

Any of you guys out there that have a lot of experience with compatibility that could help me pick out a good combo of reliable components.
Preferably retailers/manufacturers with a good warranty, RMA, and work well with the other hardware. Please let me know your thoughts.

I plan on using my GTX 285's in 2 way SLI with the new hardware or possibly sell them and just get a single 480. Again let me know what you think. I can look at all the benchmarks and reviews I want but nothings like getting personal feed back and advice. Thanks again.

More about upgrading current system
  1. ^ The CPU is a LGA 1156 whereas the mobo that you have chosen is a LGA 1366...
Either go with LGA 1366 CPU like i7 9xx CPUs or change the mobo to a P55 chipset...

And just a thought...as your current setup is good, why not postpone the system upgrade to Q1 2011? Both AMD and Intel are replacing their sockets then...
  2. Ya waiting would be a good call. This bonus money is burning a hole in my pocket lol.
Thanks for the heads up on the cpu compatibility. I should just hide it and wait for the new chips.
  3. ^ Lolz try to resist the temptation :P
