Windows 7 update blocks all sites from browsing

Before now, when my new laptop with windows 7 updates and refused to browse, I had to restore it to a previous date and it browsed. Now the system had deleted that old restore point and now I do not know what to do to enable the system to browse. The internet status will indicate connected but will not browse. what can I do to browse again, please?

off the top of my head, i suspect it's a proxy issue.

I use IE 8 and Firefox 7. I do not know which of the updates is causing the problem

Just to eliminate the infection possibilities.

Try clear your proxy settings?

Also, check you IP config, DHCP and DNS.

Have you tried running the troubleshoot problems in the network and sharing center ? What problems does it show if any ?

Don't tell me you have firewall blocking your internet!

Check your firewall.

I had run the troubleshoot but the problem could not be identified. firewall was disabled yet no solution. Once I take the internet modern to another system with windows XP, it browse well, but remove it to the new system with Windows 7, it will show connected but will not browse. I would be grateful for your assistance
