SSD compatability... SATA II vs. III... but what about SATA 6Gb?

Im looking to buy an SSD fir the first time and the items i'm seeing are saying SATA II or SATA III. My problem is im looking at my mobo specs and under storage it only has the following:
SATA 6Gb/s7 x SATA 6Gb/s
SATA RAID6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), red support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10 by AMD SB950

It does not specify at all anything about SATA II and III. What is the difference? or is a 6Gb the same thing as III? Please give me as detailed of an answer as possible. Thanks!

SATA II = 3.0Gbps and SATA 3 = 6.0Gbps

They're backwards compatible.
