USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming... all sorts of games

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY:
GeForce 6800 not sure of power supply?
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2046MB RAM
computer was bought in 2004, its a dell XPS gen 5

not really sure if its worth an upgrade at this point

I think an hd 5670 will be good for you with the resolution 1280x1024 ...it can handle every game at an high setting at this resolution...also having dx 11 support...but do check you have an pcie slot ....

As long as it has PCI-E slot then you can use most of PCI-E cards out there...

Agree, any card will bottlenecked by pent.4, you might want consider cheap HD3650 or HD4650, it still bottlenecked by you cpu, but it still much better than GeForce 6800.

Don't waste more money on this old system, save your money and build a whole new system... :)
