Memtest

Hello, I just ran memtest on my amd 64X2 5050e,with 4gig of ocz and there are error codes but in the manual I downloaded there is no reference material to check the codes--so what the heck is the use of this test? How or where can I go to interpret the results.

It is a moot point. If you get ANY errors you have a problem.

Rerun memtest on each stick to identify the good ones.

Then, run again with a known good stick in each slot to verify that all the slots are good.

Thanks for the help, I just ran a second pass and it did not pick up any errors-the first pass reported all the errors on the 5th test. I am running another pass. Also the first pass took over hour, the 2nd one took 27 minutes. Does that sound right?

Sounds strange; different times by that much.

Are you testing just one stick, or more?

Sometimes, as anonymous1 said added voltage might be needed. Motherboards are different, and have to control the voltages on all the sticks with the same level of voltage. A single step increase to the voltage may give you better stability.
