My NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT runs on about 75C idle and 95C under heavy load/gaming. Is this normal? Or should I look into cooling? If so, what do you recommend?

Your temps are somewhat high, you probably need to download evga precision tool. This will allow you to monitor your temp and set the fan speed accordingly. 3d Guru is an easy place to find downloads of this nature.

95°C is a bit hot but apparently that temperature is ok. I'd try and bring the temperature down, turn up the clean out the fan, turn up the fan speed and possibly add more fans.

It is normal for the 8800GT with single slot fan... But you should try getting those temps below the 85 degrees C adjusting the fan speed...

I have NVIDIA System Tools which automatically adjusts the fan speed, which I assume is the same as EVGA Precision.

Try rivaTuner or MSI Afterburner to adjust manually the fan speed.
