Why so slow usb3.0 speeds

HERE IS my motherboard
Gigabyte-Z68XP-UD3-iSSD -

here is 3.0 flash drive I'm using
http://www.kingston.com/us/usb/personal_business#dt111

windows 7 64 bit

Only getting speeds of 10-16MB / second plugged in blue usb3.0 slot.

Have current etron usb 3.0 drivers directly from gigabyte website

any ideas why i'm not getting usb3.0 speeds..tried both directly in motherboard and 3.0 slots in case...same speeds

thanks for any help?
andy

More about slow usb3 speeds
  1. That's about all you're going to get with that drive, often real world doesn't go as fast as benchmarks:

  2. Wow..ok...isn't that kinda false advertising...

do you have any recommendations on a really fast flash 3.0 drive?

    Hi :)

It doesn't work that way.... almost all so called 3 devices get nowhere near the 3 speeds...

    All the best Brett :)

    Hi :)

Its the same reason that usb 2 devices were MEANT to run at a certain speed, but most never managed anywhere near it...

    Its advertising hype...

    All the best Brett :)
  6. so you have never experienced 30-40MB on a usb3.0 flaSH DRIVE?

Yes, you might call it false advertising. And there's so much variability between brands. Just accept the truth and do research before you buy another drive.
  9. Ok..Thanks
