Just put a system together with a Asus M5a97 mobo and 8 gigs of Mushkin DDR3 1333.
Everything booted, installed Windows 7 64 bit on a Crucial 64 gig ssd with mobo and GPU drivers (5670).
Everything runs great except for shut down or restart. System will not reboot from either and the Mem ok led stays on. I did the mem ok button, ran through the test and the led comes back on. I reseated the memory with no luck fixing the problem.
The only way I can get the system to boot is to clear the RTC Ram. And this is hit and miss. Sometimes I will have to pull the battery and put it back in to get the system to boot. Again, this is hit and miss. Once it finally boots everything is ok.
Whats going on here? Is this a memory issue or mobo?
