Samsung 840 or 840 Pro?

Ok for my new gaming/video editing for youtube machine I am deciding on getting an SSD for my OS so that it loads faster, same with some applications I use (Wondershare Video Converter, Vegas Pro 11, some other stuff) So which SSD would be better for me? I really don't want to overkill, I just would like to get the one that would just meet my needs, no overkills again. Do you think I should go with the 840, or do you think the extra $50 is really worth the extra money?

Depending on where you're buying, Newegg, and Amazon both currently have some sales on the 840 Pro.

If you compare those prices to the current prices on the same sites for the regular 840, then the 128GB version is only $20 more for the Pro version, and the 256GB version is only $46.25 more for the Pro version.

Personally I would go ahead and go for the Pro versions if I were you. Especially if you are getting a 128GB drive, in which case the difference is only $20.

If you are looking for a deal and a still quality SSD, keep an eye out for an Samsung 830 on sale, I got a 128gb for 70 bucks!

Actually, the Newegg sale is still on. And as of when I posted my message this morning the Amazon sale was still on as well, but now I see it has been removed, but not sure what time. It was still up this morning though, I know because I was checking the prices via their site.

The Newegg sale is good until December 30th, so that's still an option.

This is in the USA of course...not sure if the sales were different for other countries, if you are not in the USA.
