Hello,
I'm looking to replace my mobo since i believe that it is the reason behind some of the problems that I am having recently. Here are the specs:
AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor HD985ZXAGHBOX
630 watt ATX power supply
MSI ATI Radeon HD6670 1 GB DDR5 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card R6670-MD1GD5
Windows XP service pk 3

Will be using the computer for general purpose (mainly online classes) and some PC gaming.

More about : replacing mobo

Welcome to Tom's Forum! :)

You're facing a choice: OLD 'new' MOBO VERY HARD TO FIND + OLD CPU <OR> NEW MOBO + NEW CPU.

I spent awhile searching for MOBO that support your CPU and couldn't find anything; AMD Phenom X4 9850 BE HD985ZXAJ4BGH / HD985ZXAGHBOX -> http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Phenom%20X4%20985...(HD985ZXAGHBOX).html

I started with 990FX and really worked down to the bottom of the barrel.

Did you have a question or did you just want to tell us about your computer?

Yeah was looking for advice for a new mobo for my existing system.
jaquith just gave me the answer.
I'll just change out both the CPU and the mobo.

Thanks jaquith

You never asked a question in your post, you just posted random information about your computer.

Pretty darn good Question, good Spec Info, but a equally tough Answer as I posted above :(

Ok yeah, he stated he wants to replace his motherboard, but he never specifically asked any questions or asked for any recommendations. Usually if you have a question, you ask it, and it's followed by a question mark (?)

OK he didn't come out with a question but even I know what he was asking. No need to be rude to any poster.
