I7 920 idling at 50C?!

Why is it doing this? I put the correct amount of thermal compound on it, I have a Freezer Pro Rev. 2 fan/heatsink and it's still just idling in windows with a Realtemp reading on 52 degrees.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Should I retry thermal compound?
