So i was planning on getting this one anyway - paired with my i5 760... i'm lookin at the asus p7p55d-e pro.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

anyone have it? opinions? looks like a solid choice. I intend to use it for sli w/ dual 470s eventually.

it's closest competitor seems to be the GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD4P

Gotta make a decision quick!

asus & Gigabyte are both top brands. Either board should work well for you

I'm unaware of a better 1156 mobo right now than the Asus P7P55D-E Pro. It's pricey, but is has all of the features you could ask for on that socket.

Ok, getting closer. It's my first build, it's the brain of the computer, I am kind of neurotic about choosing the right components.
