Link the two computers via a crossover version of an ethernet cable.

Set file sharing on appropriate folders.

Turn off firewalls on both computers.

Make an accurate note of the computer names (Control Panel, System)
Go to Control Panel Networking and run the networking wizard.
Add network places.
