Approximate Purchase Date: Within a couple weeks.

Budget Range: Around $1000 - $1200 before Rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: MMO gaming, Streaming Video, Surfing Web, Ventrilo

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com

Country of Origin: United States of America

Parts Preferences: Quad Core CPU and SSD

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I mostly play MMO's and would like to get an SSD for loading speed. I often have multiple applications open at one time, such as web browsing, streaming video, ventrilo, game playing. My current Build is chosen to specifically include a Quadcore CPU and SSD within my price range and some items were chosen in order to take advantage of Neweggs Combo Discounts. Any suggestions or advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you. :)

Old northbridge (790FX)

Don't put nvidia and AMD together, get a 5850 or get an i5 7XX

If I got with an Intel quadcore is i7 noticeably better than i5 in gaming. Also, if I get an i7 9xx do I need to get 3 sticks of RAM for the triple channel or will 2 sticks still work like dual channel, and, is RAM specifically dual or triple, meaning I can't use 3 dual channel RAM sticks for triple channeling? I have my eye on i7 930 or i5 760, any suggestions?

i5 quads are actually a bit faster than equally clocked i7s for games. In i5 build also is about ~200$ cheaper than an i7 build.

Thanks sp12. So how important is the mother board, what should I be looking for in a mobo for i5 quadcore, and any suggestions on model or brand of mobo?
