I would like some advice on a new ATI GPU for the future. I took the sticky on how to ask for advice and edited to what I thought you should know. All the while not bottle-necking anything if possible.
APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: sometime in the next month and no more than $250ish, maybe up to $300 but I'd rather not.
USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: play FFXIV when it comes out next month, play FFXI now, Folding@Home, home theater/watching movies
CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: ATI Radeon HD 3870 and Corsair 620W PSU
OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Current system is e8400 @ 4.0 ghz with Gigabyte UD3P board and Dark knight cooler, dual booting winXP (32 bit) and win7 Pro (64 bit), 8 GB of RAM (PC2-6400)
PARTS PREFERENCES: ATI cards
OVERCLOCKING: No & No Crossfire
MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1200
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Current system is e8400 @ 4.0 ghz, dual booting winXP (32 bit) and win7 Pro (64 bit), 8 GB of RAM
Any help would be great. Thanks!!!
