Samsung 830 being read on BIOS but not on Windows

Hey guys.

I've had a little look around the forums to see if anyone has had the same problem, but their's seem to always be a little different.

The main issue that people are having is that the SSD isn't being shown on the Windows Installer. I'm not trying to re-install windows, I'm just trying to upgrade my old HDD to the new SSD.

As the title suggests, the BIOS is completely reading the SSD drive, but whenever I go to My Computer or anything, it just doesn't read it.

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance

Did you format the drive in device manager?
If not -> right click on computer -> manage -> device manager -> select SSD and initialize it -> right click on empty space and choose format.
