Nub needs advice / confirmation

Hey all. The last computer i built was in 2004. Things have changed so much that i'm lost (again). I was hoping to post my proposed build to see if there are any glaring errors/incompatibilities. I've done as much reading as i could handle but am hesitant to commit. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on buying all my components through newegg.ca.

My budget is approx. $2000 (CDN); including taxes, shipping enviro fees... etc.

I'm planning on doing some gaming (FPS and RTS generally), family video editing and AutoCAD (w/o rendering). I'm fortunate in that the money is coming from my company, so i don't mind "overkilling" it a little, but don't want to raise too many eyebrows.

Here's my proposal:

COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP
Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W
ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX
Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W
G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
XFX HD-585X-ZAFC Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s

I wasn't planning on doing any overclocking, but will probably play with it a little at some point.

My main concerns are with regards to the capacity of the power supply (i've done some calculations and found that i likely need less than 500W with the current setup, but i may add to the system over the years) and cooling. I understand that the HAF 922 is generally a cool case out of the box, but i've read some accounts of people adding something like a Cooler Master V8 cooler over the CPU. Not sure if i need to consider this given my intentions.

Thanks for your time. :)

That PSU is fine even if you add another 5870 for crossfire. Stock cooler is fine for no overclock if or when you overclock you can always upgrade cooler CM Hyper 212+ is a nice budget cooler. System looks good.

Thanks for the review and advice. The 212 is only another $30, so i decided to tack one on to my order.
