Have a budget of ~$900. It's at $904 currently with shipping. Right now I'm looking for suggestions to potentially make the build cheaper and better.

As far as I can tell it's all compatible currently, but any second opinions on that would be great as well.

Really, any opinion at all would be great. Thanks.

Take a look at the linked items above. The case is always a personal choice. I love the 690 II, it has so many options for cooling and just worked so well. I have also used the 922 and am considering trying a build with the 912.
The hard drive has twice the cache and two processors, it is going to be faster than the blue series for 5.00 more.
The RAM has faster timings and I have used it in 3 builds with great results.
The PSU is modular, which I like and more importantly it has 69 AMPs on 3 rails VS the CM's 40 AMP's on one rail.
I just built a PC with the 445 you have listed. I was lucky and was able to unlock the 4th core. It runs stable PRIME95 @ 12 hours, so I like that CPU.
Finally the VC. I have been an AMD guy for years. Now though I am pissed at them for holding us all hostage while nVidia got their DX11 cards to market. I am a big fan of the gtx460, unless you'll X-Fire some day. A 460 will beat the 5770 for the same price. For sure read some reviews, the 460 is on par with a 5830 and gets very close to a 5850 under certain conditions and in certain games.
There is nothing wrong with your build as is. I would at least consider the parts I linked to.
Good Luck and have fun
