So I recently purchased a RAM upgrade for my homebuilt PC
MSI 890GXM-G65 AM3 AMD 890GX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GV-R577SO-1GD Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ955FBGMBOX
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D
Had 4GB RAM, doubled to 8GB with a pair of the same sticks.
Since then, if I set my PC to hibernate (which I used to do every day, almost never shut down) and resume it, my monitors flicker (to say a connection was found) but the screen stays black. I usually have to pop out and put the RAM stick back in for it to work.
I never get this problem if I shut down (always starts perfectly).
Any way I can fix it?
