Hi,

I just wanted to let everyone know I just got a new Palit GTX 460 Sonic Platinum and it worked great as a drop in replacement for my 8800GTS my scores in Windows 7 only went up from 5.7 to 5.9 but I am assuming that is because of my crappy CPU (E6600, yes the dual core one). Anyway I also wanted to let you guys know that my 430 watt Antec Trupower 430 handled it's load just fine even though it says it needs a 450W power supply.

I was going to buy a new motherboard/cpu and case at Microcenter but nobody was around to help me so I just bought the video card for now =)

Anyway, YMMV but so far so good.

The truepower series are Antec's premier line arent they? If so they'll be much like Corsair's HX line in that they can go a bit higher than they are rated to hence why your machine is operating fine. Any lesser grade of PSU and i'd get worried.

No clue really, it's been forever since I've been heavily involved in PC hardware but I usually buy whatever the best thing is at the time.

I was going to get a Core i5 760 but I guess I will just wait for sandy bridge now.
