Hello,

For some reason, when I boot my computer, I get the blue screen of death on
disk-A. I can boot with a different PC with the disk-A configured as a
slave drive, but if I try to access it, I get the following error : RAW
DRIVE - ACCESS DENIED. And if I go into the properties window, I get 0's
everywhere ....

What is even more confusing is that I can boot in SAFE MODE with NETWORKING
and everything works just fine.

How do I get Windows XP - SP2 to boot normally ?

Tanks for any help provided.

Chris

You can boot with the drive set as slave in another machine because the
'RAW' drive is not the primary boot in that setup..

You need to download a diagnostics utility from the manufacturer website..
test the drive out.. you may find that it is in warranty and failing, in
which case you will be able to get it replaced..

In the meantime, you could try out a file recovery program.. do not hold
your breath while running the program..
