My Motherboard work with GTX 560 TI?

Hello,

I'm not very good with computers. I won a GTX 560 TI in a contest. And I want to know if it will work with my motherboard because it look so enormous... My motherboard is a Gigabyte G31M-S2L.

I know I have a 1000W power supply, bought it when mine stop working.
4GB of ram.

The GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L is smaller than the standard Micro ATX form factor but that shouldn't matter. The Intel 82G31 chipset on that motherboard implements PCI Express Base Specification, Revision 1.1. The graphics card is PCI Express 2.0 x16 but is fully backward compatible with the motherboard's PCI Express 1.1 x16 slot.

What matters more is the size of the chassis/case and whether there is enough room to fit the new graphics card or if there are obstructions preventing it from being installed. That graphics card is 9 inches in length so you will need at least that much clearance.
