First time builder

Hello, I'm trying to build my first system ever and would like to do some HD video editing with it. Components that I'm considering are:
Intel i7-950 CPU
Asus Sabertooth X58 motherboard
Asus ENGTX 460 GPU
Patriot Gamer Series 12GB(3x4GB)RAM
OCZ Onyx OCZSSD2-32GB SATA II for Operating System (Windows 7 home-premium
Seagate Barracuda ST31500341AS 1.5TB/7200rpm
LG Black 10X Blue-ray Burner WH10LS30
LG DVD Burner GH24NS50
Antec TruePower TP-650
Are these parts compatible? Am I missing something? Is it possible to have a BluRay burner and a BluRay reader/DVD writer on the same system?

Yes, the drives should work fine. You will be able to do video editing and anything else you like with this system.
I suggest you may be engaging in a bit of overkill, but it will certainly be powerful enough.
I would look at the i7 930 as it is plenty fast for your needs. Why 12 gigs of gamer memory for video editing?
