My connection comes then goes

Hello, yeah. in brief, im having the same problem as alot by the sounds of it. my connection to my sky router drops every 3 minutes or less and is sometime simpossible to get teh connection back, even if i turn everything off and reboot. the thing that bugs me is that although i cant get any signal, its still telling me its recieving a strong connection. wtf. help would be majorly appreciated.

oh yeah i have configured it to three different channels 1, 6 and 11 (four if you include the auto) and the same results occure. there was a tick box that said somthing about isolating the signal underneath the channel section, defaultly, it was not ticked, should i tick it?
