Hey guys,

I'm a UI Developer in need of a new desktop machine. Im not a pro at machine building so I figured I recruit the help of some of you pros that hang around here and see what happens.

Usage: I'll be running multiple instances of graphics programs (adobe, works, after fx), visual studio (x1-4), expression blend, lots of websites, various reference materials, and probably some streaming media, etc. I need 2-4 monitors to maximize my work efforts.

My goal is not to kill the banker, but Im willing to spend some to get some. I don't need the best out there, but bang for buck is probably what Im going for.

I've searched on the recommended systems and best configs but not sure anything matches what my needs are. I have't really seen a best config for a developer system, or developer system with a multi-monitor setup. If there is something already out there, or something that only needs some additions and/or subs, please point it out as I may have missed it.

I planning on purchasing everything for the setup, including the mouse and keyboard.. the whole 9. Am I better off building this thing from scratch, or can I get a prebuilt and sub some parts?

Your recommendations are appreciated. I have no clue about brands, quality/price, mobos, ssd, and this will be my first 64bit Quad system. Thanks in advance.

So far this is all I am ball-parking:
Cpu: Def a quad - Im thinking i7 930/50
Os: Windows 7 x64
Mobo: ?
Ram: 8-12gb DDR3
Hdd1: I'd like an SSD with some decent space for the main apps I want to run, but not overkill
Hdd2: Storage 1TB
Gpu: ? - Something that supports at least 2.. probably 3, maybe 4 monitors (2x2 GPU?)
Monitors: 1+ 1920x1200 24" (?)
Case: ?
Power Supply: ?
