I plan to use my system mostly for gaming, and the occasional Photoshop, Flash, and video editing. Probably the most I'll ever be doing is playing a game while surfing the web at the same time. I found a good deal on 8gb(2x4gb) of 1600mhz ram for around $50. Buying 4gb would be around $15 cheaper, but I'm on a really tight budget and it's money I'd rather use towards buying a better case or motherboard. My question is, would be a notable difference in performance between 4gb of ram and 8gb of ram?

U want to have more than 4Gigs. It keeps performance in place, when PC is under heavy workload. And Win7 loves more RAM.

For most of today's games 4GB will be enough, as long as you have a decent graphic card you will be alright. But if you plan to multitask the logical choice will be 8GB RAM + x64 OS.
