Hello I'm new here, and in case it matters I searched forum before making my own thread, but still didn't find an answer to my problem.
I have a Dell Latitude D430 which answers all my needs - mail, net surfing, occasional video watching.
It came with stock ZIF PATA HDD of 60GB 4200RPM Toshiba MK6008GAH which I decided to change for a cheap MLC Kingspec 64Gb drive. It appeared though it doesn't support TRIM but whatever. After installing everything I needed (used up to 29GB of SSD space) i noticed that over some time, a week-two it started to hang or freeze for second or two and overall performance was actually worse than with stock HDD.
I did some optimization like disable prefetch/pagefile/indexing etc. but it didn't change much, though I feel it performing more smooth. In resource monitor some services (like pagefile before disabling, chrome cache, some more) in Disk activity take up to 4k ms time which as far as I know isn't even close to normal even on HDDs. But over all according to SMART, Victoria, HDTune SDD is in perfect order, no damaged surface or anything, read speed 60-120Mbps.
Does anyone have suggestions on what could be wrong? Do tell me if you need extra specs of my machine or any extra info beside this:
SDD: Kingspec KSD-ZF18.6-064MS, 64GB, MLC (PATA on ZIF connector so no AHCI), @ UDMA5.
