When bios system is shadowed what does that mean

Hello,
i was told when i bought this used computer that all i had to do was install my windows xp and all would be fine ha ha disk started to download then stopped said there was no harddrive on setup it says harddrive and video systems are shadowed what can i do

Shadowing copies slower ROM code into RAM memory to improve performance of the ROM routines. This will give you a SMALL increase in performance.

Try going into your BIOS, disable shadowing and try reinstalling XP again.
