Hey guys, im looking for a new motherboard for my system, it needs to be DDR3 compatible, intel core 2 Quad q6600.
SLi/crossfire enabled, good onboard sound, and OC able

Sorry i looked around UK sites for that board and nobody has P45 mobos of any make they're all P43 and DDR2 Slim pickens as 775 is fast becoming a relic

yes, this seems to be the case, i think i'll go for another pre owned 790i. since i loved that board, and i can't afford a new CPU at the moment : (

otherwise you could buy an i3 530 and a P55 board for that kinda loot and still use the ram.

It was their flagship board for that socket and cost over $300 US dollars when new.
Plus scarcity will drive prices up it still cost over $300 in N.A.
I would seriously consider moving on to a different platform and reusing your DDR3 ram.

ok so i found the P55 SLI at 140£ total with delivery on overstock.com, i think its a good price? and i'll get one of the i5 CPUs aswell.
