Hello,

We recently upgraded our workstations to XP service pack 2. Since then we
have noticed that we can not start some services, for example, the Automatic
Updates service. The startup type for the service is set to "Automatic"
through GPO. However the status shows that it is not running. When I try to
manually start the service, I receive a warning that says

"The Automatic Updates service on Local Computer started and then stopped.
Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the
Performance Logs and Alerts service"

Is these a new "feature" for XP sp2 or am I having a problem?
